Learn how to create a rose gold makeup look with eyeshadow and lipstick using soft rosy tones and shimmer in this easy makeup tutorial.

Rose gold has risen to be one of the most popular color tones over the years and it’s even transitioned to makeup. For a look that is glam, modern, and not quite as intense as classic gold (or quite as soft as a pink makeup look) rose gold tones are your answer. Flattering on most skin tones and eye colors — rose gold is a classic makeup look that you can wear during the day or the night.

Rose Gold Eye Makeup with Eyeshadow

Paso 1: Swipe the taupe shade of eyeshadow all over the eyelids taking the eyeshadow all the way up to the crease of the eye. With its subtle rose taupe shimmer it creates the perfect base for a rose gold eyeshadow look.

Paso 2: Use the matte mauve shade to accentuate the eye look – focus the eyeshadow on the outer corner of the eyes and along the lower lash line to accentuate the eye shape. Use a sleek liner brush to apply the eyeshadow as close to the lashes as possible.

Rosy Blush and a Rose Gold Glow

Whilst eyeshadow and lip color are often the key components of creating a makeup look with certain tones – your blush, bronzer and highlighter also play an important part (and can help to create a monochromatic makeup look)

Bronze: To start add color to the face apply bronzer. Apply using a “3” shaped motion (around the hairline, under the cheekbones, and along the jawline) to create a natural bronze look that is reminiscent of where the sun would naturally hit and bronze skin.

Rubor: To add a rose glow to cheeks apply Blushing Tresor. This soft rosy shade gives a natural looking flush of color to the cheeks. Apply directly to the apples for a fuller look and rosy glow or get creative with your blush application to shape your face.

Highlight: For the final step to tie together the rosy glow apply rose gold highlighter to the tops of the cheekbones, the cupids bow, and along the brow bone. For an added hint of shimmer you may also like to apply this shade to the inner corner of the eyes.
